FOA LossCalc 1.1

FOA LossCalc provides a robust estimation of optical loss for fiber optic links, which can significantly streamline the workflow for installers assessing the validity of test results and making informed "pass/fail" evaluations. Furthermore, the application serves as an invaluable tool for link designers, enabling them to ascertain whether communications equipment will function effectively over a given fiber optic link.

The application allows users to select the type of link—either singlemode or multimode—and to input relevant parameters such as fiber length, and the number of connections and splices. Based on this information, FOA LossCalc calculates the total end-to-end loss associated with the link. It comes equipped with default configurations for both singlemode and multimode links, while also offering the flexibility for users to create custom setups tailored to specific application requirements.
